Is HouseCalc FCA regulated? ▼
HouseCalc is an information and calculation tool — we do not provide regulated financial advice and are not authorised by the FCA. Our calculators provide illustrative figures only, and every page carries a disclaimer stating this. The regulated advice element is provided by our partner brokers — which is you. This clean separation means there is no regulatory risk in embedding our tools on an FCA-regulated firm's website.
How are leads delivered? ▼
Leads are delivered instantly by email as structured JSON or formatted text. Each lead includes: name, email, phone number (if provided), property price range, deposit amount, estimated salary, target region, and which calculator they used. You can also access all leads in your partner dashboard. CRM integration is available on the Enterprise tier.
What does the referral fee apply to? ▼
The referral fee applies only to completed mortgage transactions that originated from a HouseCalc lead. If a lead doesn't complete — for any reason — no fee is payable. We track leads via a unique reference number tied to each contact. Fees are invoiced quarterly. The Starter tier is 10% of the broker fee; the Embedded tier is 8% (lower because we're generating leads via your site, not ours).
How long does setup take? ▼
The Starter referral programme takes under an hour — we create your landing page and send you the link. The Embedded integration requires adding a single script tag to your pages — our technical guide walks through it in 15 minutes for someone with basic web access. The White-label suite requires a technical discussion and typically takes 2–4 weeks to deploy fully on your domain.
Can estate agents partner, not just brokers? ▼
Yes. Estate agents benefit from embedding our calculators on property listing pages — buyers can instantly calculate stamp duty and mortgage payments for each listing, which increases engagement and pre-qualifies buyers before they book viewings. Estate agents can partner on a lead-generation basis (where we refer buyers to you) or an embed basis (where you add calculators to your listings). Referral fees for estate agents are based on sales instruction, not mortgage completion.
Are you exclusive to certain postcode areas? ▼
We don't currently offer geographic exclusivity at the Starter or Embedded tier — multiple brokers in the same city may receive leads. On the Enterprise white-label tier, we can discuss geographic exclusivity arrangements for a premium. Our 52 city-specific pages mean we can in some cases allocate dedicated city pages to specific broker partners — this is discussed case-by-case on the Enterprise tier.
